Children, Youth, & Family
Children’s Ministry
There are several ways for elementary aged children to get involved here at LCIF.
Children’s Church is our primary ministry to children of elementary school age. They meet every Sunday during the school year at 10 AM during the second worship service, for children in preschool and kindergarten child care is provided. All children here learn about God’s word through story, video, crafts and other hands on activities.
Once a quarter we have a CYFM event to which everyone in the congregation is invited. We have had fun together while bowling, ice-skating, trick or treating…..you get the idea! It is a time for us to come together as a church family, from the youngest to the oldest for fun and fellowship.
Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry is geared toward those in Junior High School, High School and College.
We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00-8:00 pm. We come together for a meal (usually brought by a parent), play games, and study/reflect/learn. We also have events like movie nights, bowling, or going on a hike together–these times are a great way to get acquainted with our group. We also identify ways to live our faith through service to the community and church. All are welcome!
Family Ministry
LCIF puts the focus on the home as the primary setting to teach and nurture the faith and on the congregation working in partnership with the home.
All of our ministries with youth are planned with the understanding that what we do at church supplements what parents do with the faith formation of their children and teens in the home. We know that the main source of our children’s faith formation is parents. But we also know parents ask for support and help from their church. So we are here to help. Let our CYFM staff know how they can help you and what you need
